Occupational Therapy in Auburn
“Their cousin was doing this at the same age” is one of the most common things we hear from Auburn families in a first consultation — and it’s a completely understandable worry, even though comparison alone can’t tell you what’s actually going on. Every child’s fine motor, sensory and self-care skills develop on a different timeline, shaped by everything from temperament to how much practice they’ve had at a given task.
An OT assessment looks at your child specifically — their own skills against their own age and stage — not against a sibling or cousin. If there is a genuine gap, we’ll tell you plainly and set out a clear plan; if there isn’t, you’ll leave with peace of mind instead of a lingering worry.
Our experienced occupational therapists work with children across a wide range of everyday-skills and development needs, including:

We see children from infancy through to 16 years. If you have concerns about a baby or toddler, we encourage you to contact us early — early intervention makes a real difference to outcomes.
Our Northmead clinic is approximately 8.2km — around 16–20 minutes by car — from Auburn via James Ruse Drive. Free parking is available on arrival.
Every child develops at their own pace, but if you’re noticing your child struggling with everyday tasks — getting dressed, holding a pencil, managing big emotions, sitting still at school, or coping with certain sounds or textures — an OT assessment can help identify what’s going on and what to do about it. You don’t need a diagnosis or a referral to get started. You’re not alone — we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Our sessions are play-based, engaging, and tailored to your child’s goals. We use fun, evidence-based activities to build practical skills in a way that feels natural rather than clinical. Parents are always welcome to be involved — we believe therapy works best when it’s a team effort.
Absolutely. We celebrate the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of Western Sydney. Our therapists are trained in culturally responsive care and take the time to understand each family’s own context, values and routines when building a therapy plan.

Yes. We support NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants. We are not currently a registered NDIS provider, so we’re unable to work with NDIA/agency-managed plans directly. If your child has an NDIS plan that includes funding for occupational therapy (typically under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living), we can work within your plan.
