Every child develops at their own pace, but if you’re noticing your child struggling with everyday tasks — getting dressed, holding a pencil, managing big emotions, sitting still at school, or coping with certain sounds or textures — an OT assessment can help identify what’s going on and what to do about it. You don’t need a diagnosis or a referral to get started. You’re not alone — we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Our sessions are play-based, engaging, and tailored to your child’s goals. We use fun, evidence-based activities to build practical skills in a way that feels natural rather than clinical. Parents are always welcome to be involved — we believe therapy works best when it’s a team effort.

No referral is needed. You can contact The Bridge Effect directly to book an OT assessment for your child. Some clients do come to us via a paediatrician or GP — and if you have an existing referral or report, please bring it along — but it is not a requirement.
Yes. We support NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants. We are not currently a registered NDIS provider, so we’re unable to work with NDIA/agency-managed plans directly. If your child has an NDIS plan that includes funding for occupational therapy (typically under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living), we can work within your plan.
