Speech Therapy in Seven Hills
Speech therapy tends to get filed under “toddler stuff” — something you do at three or four and finish before school starts. For a lot of Seven Hills families, that is not how it goes. Kids in Year 2, Year 5, even early high school still benefit from support, especially with reading, following multi-step instructions or being understood by classmates.
Our clinic is around 6km away in Northmead, an estimated 12 to 15 minutes by car via Seven Hills Road. We work with children from their first sounds right through to 16.
If your child is past the age you thought speech therapy applied to, it’s worth a call anyway.
The goals shift as kids grow — a five-year-old is working on being understood by a stranger, a ten-year-old might be working on organising a spoken explanation or following a teacher’s multi-step instruction. We adjust the approach without starting the relationship over.
For school-aged children we also write plain-language reports a classroom teacher or learning support team can actually use, and we’re comfortable contributing to NDIS plan reviews for kids who’ve been with us a while.
From first words to classroom communication, our speech pathologists work on:
